KAHARA: Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a public grievance camp at Kahara and listened to their issues and concerns which were mainly related to development of the area.
Saroori emphasised close coordination among different departments to address the public grievances on priority. He asked the officers to adopt a pro-active approach to streamline services and maintain public utilities. He said that he is trying to bring governance at the door steps of people by organising public camps at remote and far off areas. He stressed upon the need to resolve people’s grievances on fast-track basis.
In the camp, people in general demanded clearance of MGNREGA job card holder’s payment, augmentation of drinking water, power and improvement in the road networks in the area. Saroori gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
Giving priority to the issues related to PHE sector, Saroori on the spot announced that as soon pipes are available in PHE stores, the pipes will be installed in those areas where there is dire need so that potable water can be provided to rural populace living in remote locations during summer season. He also divulged that nine water supply schemes at a cost of more than 10 crores are functioning in Kahara Block.
He also announced blacktopping on Kahara-Jai Road from km 1st to 6th is to be executed by R&B Division Gandoh and Kahara Tanta Road is to be executed by PMGSY department during the current financial year. He further announced that within a period of one year all the uncovered areas will be electrified under RGGVY phase II, DDUY and Saubhagya Schemes. The work will be started soon with an aim to provide free electricity connections to all un-electrified and partially electrified villages of Inderwal Constituency.
Later Saroori also addressed workers meeting at Kahara, Malanoo, Chabba, ST Basti Kahar and Thathri areas and asked the cadre to close their ranks to meet the challenges confronted by the people.
