BHADARWAH: With two more incidents of mysterious braid chopping of two married women were reported from Pounra and Thubba villages of Bhadarwah on Tuesday morning and afternoon respectively, fear psychosis continues in entire Bhadarwah Valley with people especially women folk preferring to remain indoors.
According to reports, after four incidents of braid chopping in as many days, today another case of mysterious braid chopping of a young woman Shilpa Devi (22) wife of Anil Kumar, a resident of village Pounra-Manthala, was reported at 6:30 AM followed by another incident in the afternoon of a 36 year old housewife identified as Romesha Devi wife of Bimal Kumar resident of Thubba, 4km from Bhadarwah town. Both the victims were brought to SDH Bhadarwah, where they are undergoing treatment and are said to be stable. This is the sixth case of braid chopping in five days, but police is still unable to locate the exact reason.
“We have activated all our resources and have increased vigil especially in rural areas, but we are still clueless as none of the victims so far has seen anyone and except braid chopping there is not even a single bruise found on any of the victims,” said a senior police officer at Bhadarwah.
