State Times News UDHAMPUR: Police on Wednesday recovered 8 gm of contraband substance (Chitta) from two narco smugglers at Khoon, Majalta in Udhampur. Giving details Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that a party of Police Station Majalta led by Insp. Vijay Thakur SHO under the supervision of Garu Ram SDPO Ramnagar and Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur laid a Naka near Balpur, Khoon, Majalta for checking of vehicles. During Naka checking, police caught two suspected persons who were trying to hide themselves from the police. The suspected persons were taken into custody and during their personnel search, 8 gm of heroin like substance was recovered from them. The narcotic smugglers have been identified as Davinder Kumar, son of Tara Chand, resident of Ramkot and Sadeeq, son of Mohd Fareed, resident of Sundla Nakki, Khoon. A case vide FIR No. 11/2020 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Majalta.
