STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Two civilians were seriously injured in district Poonch when Pak army resorted to firing and heavy shelling on Thursday. An old person identified as Noor Hussain (80) son of Kami resident of Khari Karmara was seriously injured with a splinter when he was on his way to local Mosque on Thursday. He was immediately Shifted to District Hospital Poonch. DDC Poonch alongwith other officers reached the Hospital and enquired about his welfare. The DDC paid him a sum of Rs 5000 out of Red Cross fund.
Meanwhile another injured namely Shamim Akhtar wife of Mehmood resident of Gunthlian, Shah Pur was also shifted to District Hospital Poonch. Tehsildar Haveli Naresh Kumar went to the Hospital and paid her an amount of Rs 5000 out of Red Cross fund.
Chief Medical Officer Bashir Ahmed, Medical Supdt Shamim-ul-Nisa, ASP Adil Hamid, Dy SP Headquarter Aijaz Ahmed, SHO Nishant Gupta and others who were attending the injured.
