KATRA: Police on Sunday arrested two bootleggers and recovered 138 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, a police party led by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO Police Station Katra under the supervision of Dr. Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Addl. SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi, acting on a specific information laid a Naka at Nomain Katra. During checking/frisking, it apprehended two persons namely Suresh Kumar son of Kartar Chand resident of Parthal Tehsil Katra and Rinku Sharma son of Dev Raj resident of Shawapatta Gharota Jammu who were on way towards Katra and recovered 138 poly pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from their possession.
A case vide FIR No.34/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra against the accused persons and investigation is in progress.
