STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while reacting as a responsible citizen of the country on US President Donald Trump’s offer for mediation between India and Pakistan on Kashmir in a Press conference at Delhi has termed the offer as unacceptable and said his offer is unfortunate, intolerable and even more humiliating to all the Indians. Manohar said India needs no outsider’s interference to resolve the issue and is self-capable to handle the issue itself. On Trump’s repeatedly saying Pakistan and Imran khan as his friend Dr Sharma advised trump to tell Pakistan to stop cross border terrorism, cease fire violations along Loc and Proxy war in India, being a good friend to Pakistan as termed by trump. He further said that he is shocked to see that till now Ministry Of External Affairs, Govt. of India has not issued statement giving befitting reply to trump remembering India’s stand as per the Shimla Agreement. Manohar further said no third party intervention is required on the issue as India has previously also cleared its stand and rejected any mediation from outsiders in past also . He said trump has always sabotaged India’s stand on J&K number of times in recent past also also but then also govt. is busy in entertaining him. Further Manohar said more than 100 crores was spent on trumps visit but nothing fruitful emerged out it it, no major business deal was made and term it as sheer wastage of money which can otherwise be used for developmental works or generating employment.
