State Times News SAMBA: Police on Monday nabbed a truckler and his associate and recovered 580 kilograms of Poppy straw from the truck at Mansar Morh. According to a report, a team of Police station Samba along with SOG laid Naka on Jammu Pathankot National Highway at Mansar Morh area of Samba and intercepted a truck (PB35Q- 2186) which was on its to Punjab from Srinagar. During checking, police recovered 580 kilograms of Poppy straw recovered from the said truck. The driver identified as Gurbakshish Singh, son of Darshan Singh, resident of Kotla Punjan and his associate namely Santokh Singh, son of Baksha Singh, resident of Malerkotla Punjab were arrested and a case vide FIR No. 252 under section 8/15 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba.
