STATE TIMES NEWS NOWSHERA: Rich tributes were paid to Bharat Rattan, Baba Saheb Dr. B. R Ambedkar on his 128th Birth Anniversary here on Sunday. In this connection a function was organized at Sanatan Dharam Sabha Nowshera by Dr Bhimarao Ambedkar Youth Organisation Nowshera under the patronage of its Chairman Sanam Raina. Prominent among those who spoke include President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Jagdish Chander Sahney, Councilor Vijay Bakshi, Anu Bhasin, Chaman Lal, Asha Devi, Dr. Joginder Bhusho, Satish Sayal and others. KATHUA: In order to commemorate 128th Birth Day celebrations of Father of Indian Constitution Bharat Rattan Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar JKRCEA district unit Kathua along with socio-religious wings, unemployed youth, women and retired wing organised a bike rally which started from Kalibari and after passing through bazaar, which culminated at GRD Gurdwara Bagial. The rally was attended by thousands of people and was led by Dr. C.R. Munday, P.K. Chouhan, Dr. Haridyal, Loknath, Romesh Kumar while youth were led by Avinash Tajotra. The participants were chanting slogans of Jai Bheem Jai Bharat, Baba Tere Sooch Paar Pehra Denegaye Thook Kaar. The rally was culminated at Guru Ravidass Gurudwara where the speakers threw light on life and mission of Babasaheb. The leaders of socio-religious, retired employees forum, unemployed youth/students and women wings of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) castigated both State and Central government for slowly and steadily diluting constitutional provisions for SC,ST and OBCs. Dr. Sanjay Bhasin while speaking on the occasion highlighted the contributions of Babasaheb Ambedkar. Rajinder Kashyap also spoke on the occasion. The stage proceedings were conducted by Romesh Kumar and vote of thanks was extended by Er. Joginder Pal. Other who participated in the function were Prof. G. L. Thapa, Er. Pawan Bhagat, Brij Rana, M.R. Bangotra, Dr. Subash Thappa, Dr. Soami Saran, Er. Surinder Dewagowda, Er. Rajesh Bhagat, Girdhari Lal, Manoj Kumar, represented the state executive of JKRCEA. RAJOURI: Rich tributes were paid to the architecture of Constitution of Indian Nation Dr. Bhim Rao Ramji Ambedkar commonly known as B.R. Ambedkar and Baba Sahib on his 128th birth anniversary by Guru Ravidas Sabha in a impressive programme held at Ambedkar Park, Rajouri wherein people from all walks of the society participated and threw light of the life, struggle and achievements of Baba Sahib. Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri Mohd. Aijaz Choudhary in his address terming B R Ambedkar as one of the pillar most important pillar of Indian democracy said that it is due to Ambedkar that today we are in a position to work for the upliftment if downtrodden and under privileged. It was the Ambdekar who first raised voice against the social discrimination and malfunctioning in the administrative mechanism of the country. Also, expressing the views Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Former Chairman, State Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People opined that B R Ambedkar was a true nationalist and social reformist in a real sense who despite having trivial differences among the political and social leaders has worked for the overall upliftment of common people who were facing the social hatred since centuries. Those who were present include Dr. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Director (Research), Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi, Shm Vikrant Sharma, a renowned social activist, Arif Jatt, President MC, Rajouri, Khursheed Janam, Suraj Prakash, Dalfie Kumar, Rajesh Bharati, Baldev Kumar, Vishal Pahari, Rakesh Kumar, Kishor Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar Ankit Kesar and Anil Kumar.
