Congress only viable regional alternative for people of State: Bhalla
STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Mula Ram said that previous PDP-BJP Coalition Government failed in providing basic amenities like water, power and ration to the common person of the State. Speaking at the convention held here at Raipur Domana Constituency, the former minister said that priority of BJP was not to empower people by strengthening democratic institutions but those at the helm of the affairs wanted to accomplish their selfish designs by controlling such institutions through undemocratic means. Terming the promises made by PDP-BJP Government as mere bluffs, he said that voters were fed up with the sheer opportunism of these two parties. Both the parties took the extreme positions on most of the emotional issues and exploited their respective constituencies to the hilt, with a false and deceptive promise to keep each other out of power, if voted in strength, he added. Speaking on the occasion, Raman Bhalla said, “Inhuman atmosphere was being generated and mistrust created by bringing the people and the regions eyeball to eyeball situation over various sensitive issues”. Bhalla claimed that BJP in their tenure has only added to the woes of common man, BJP in particular in Jammu region as it is involved in every anti-Jammu decisions by Govt. ” BJP acted as dummy coalition partner in the Government as discrimination with Jammu province was being done at all ground either in recruitment, allotment of funds, development in tourist sector or overall development process,” he said and added that Congress is real voice of aspirations of people of Jammu province, that people have realized now. Chief Spokesman Ravinder Sharma said that BJP scripted a very sad saga of reversing the process of development and pushing the state to backwards. District President Rural Hari Singh Chib strongly accused the BJP over its discriminatory attitude towards Jammu after its failure in all fronts including much talked the anti-terrorism drive, allocation of funds and their promise of employment in equal share at par to Kashmir. He said BJP at the Center and PDP BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir was completely failed in doing justice particularly with the people of Jammu region in all spheres including governance and deliverance whether it may be the case of equal share in employment through Public Service commission, SSRB and other recruitment state agencies there was a complete discrimination with Jammu people which can be depicted in the selection lists issued by the different agencies including PSC and SSRB Among those present on the occasion include Former Minister R.S Chib, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Th Balwan Singh, Manmohan Singh, Rajnish Sharma, Suman Bhagat, former Minister Ch Gharu Ram, Gurdarshan Singh, District President Rural Hari Singh Chib, Pradesh Youth President Uday Bhanu Singh Chib, Shiv Kumar Sharma (INTUC), M.K Bhardwaj (Senior Advocate), Rakesh Singh Bittu, Raj Dev Singh Jamwal, Hera Lal Pandita, Sampuran Singh, Suraj Badyal, Sarpanchs and Panchs.
