SRINAGAR: To review the progress of digitisation on various state/centrally sponsored schemes and to make the expenditure of funds on different schemes online, Department of Agriculture conducted a training programme here on Thursday.
During the training programme, the participants were made face to face with modern trends and techniques of funds expenditure, allocation and disbursement. A special package on digital expenditure of funds allocated for different central/state sponsored schemes of agriculture was introduced.
Meanwhile, a training programme on Budget Estimation Allocation and Monitoring System (BEAMS) software was imparted to the participants with respect to digital management of budget estimation, allocation and monitoring of funds at different levels of administration.
During the training programme, DDOs raised various issues and queries that were addressed by concerned trainers. The participants highlighted the need and importance of digital disbursement of funds so that more transparency and accountability could be upheld during the entire implementation of various projects programmes and schemes meant for the welfare and promotion of socio economic conditions of the farming community.
