JAMMU: Three-day training programme organised by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics concluded here on Wednesday
The training programme was organised on NSS 76th Round for the field functionaries of Jammu Division under the aegis of Director General Economics & Statistics, Riyaz Ahmad Banday. This year NSS 76th Round is devoted to drinking water, sanitation, hygiene, housing condition and survey on persons with disability which was attended by the various officers and officials of DES, RJD, STS, FOD NSSO, Jammu and DSEOs of Jammu division.
Speaking on the occasion, Veena Thapar, Director, DES stressed that collection of data provided by the general masses should be authenticated and must follow the blueprint of quality assurance.
Rajni Charak, Regional Director, Evaluation and Statistics, Jammu acknowledged the role of statistical data in her welcome address.
Joint Director Training Institute, Ashu Gupta, DES Jammu informed the participants about the objectives of training camps.
The training was imparted by B.S Bhan, Assistant Director FOD, Rajesh Kumar, SSO, NSSO, FOD and Sunil Chaku, SSO, NSSO, FOD. Vote of thanks was presented by the Training Coordinator, Priyanka Parihar, Assistant Director (NSS), DES, Jammu.
