STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Toddlers’ World conducted an activity “Let’s learn about the Sun family”. Explaining the abstract and difficult concepts of science to toddlers is a challenge that the teachers at Toddlers’ World, a unit of JK Public School, have mastered. By using the playway and activity based methodology, the concepts like the solar system are not only made easy to grasp, but these were also filled with a fun and engrossing moments. The Sun and its family of planets was the concept that was introduced through an interesting activity, in which the students created their own Solar system on the ground using different sized balls to represent the planets. The children discussed various planets, their relative sizes and their movements. Shivangani Pandotra (Coordinator Toddlers’ Wing) expressed her views by saying that activities like these help the kids develop an interest in the scientific learning. They also learned as to how unique and important is the Earth, their own special home and the need to conserve and protect it.
