UDHAMPUR: Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Ramnagar organised a Lok Adalat Cum Legal Awareness Camp under the chairmanship of Archana Charak (Sub Judge), Ramnagar at Court Complex Ramnagar on Saturday.
In the Lok Adalat, 40 cases of criminal and civil nature were taken up, of which, 24 cases were settled on the spot.
During Lok Adalat, as many as 14 traffic Challans were taken up and disposed off on spot and a fine of Rs 12,450 was also recovered on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Ramnagar made the people aware about the legal aid being provided to the poor people. He also highlighted various Acts and schemes launched by the government for the welfare of public. Among others, Prosecuting Officer, Ramnagar Renu Rani, President Bar Association, Ramnagar K.D Sharma and other Retainer Lawyers besides prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
