JAMMU/SRINAGAR: Police on Thursday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered huge quantity of narcotics from their possession in three separate incidents.
According to report, a party of Police Station Bus Stand during patrolling intercepted one pedestrian. During checking, police recovered 14 Kg poppy straw from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No 105/2017 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bus Stand and further investigation of the case is going on. The arrest and recovery was made by SHO Bus Stand, Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia under the close supervision of SDPO City North, Jammu, Varun Jandial and SP City North, Dr Vinod Kumar.
Meanwhile, a party of Bandipora Police Station during two Nakas at Aloosa and Kaloosa arrested two drug peddlers who were identified as Nisar Ahmad Turk, resident of Sheikh Muqam Bandipora and Mohammad Iqbal Mir, resident of Dachigam Bandipora. Police recovered four kilograms of Charas from their possession.Police registered case FIR numbers 166 and 167 under Section 8/20 NDPS against them respectively.
