SAMBA: Nine people, including three army personnel, were injured in two separate road accidents on Sunday in Samba and Kishtwar districts, police said.
According to a report, the accident took place on Jammu Pathankot National Highway at village Diani Samba near petrol pump, when a truck (JK02K- 4517) hit Cruise car (PB06R-0005), resulting in car driver getting injuries. The injured identified as Sagar son of Deepak Kumr resident of Amritsar Punjab was shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment with the help of locals from where doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for special treatment. Police has taken cognisance in the matter and started investigation.
Meanwhile, three army personnel got injured in road mishap near Raya Morh area of Vijaypur in district Samba.
The injured have been identified as NK Baljit Singh, NK Girdhari and NK Charan Singh all posted in 162 Inf BDE camp. The incident occurred on Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Raya Morh area of Samba, when the army vehicle hit a truck (JK02AP- 5302), resulting in three army personnel got injured. They were shifted to Accidental Hospital Vijaypur for treatment from where doctors referred them to Military Hospital Satwari for further treatment. Police has taken cognisance in the matter and started investigation. In the other incident, five people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a cab near in the Kandini area of Kishtwar district Sunday morning, the official said. Three among them were critically injured and were referred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu, he said.
