Udhampur: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Udhampur celebrated Guruvandhan Karyakaram in which the teachers, students, eminent educationists and citizens participated.
In this programme Mahendra Kapoor Akhil Bharatiya Sangathan Mantri of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh was the Chief Speaker and J.R Bhardwaj Chief Education Officer Udhampur was the Chief Guest.
Shaikshik Mahasangh celebrates Gurubandhan programme every year on the eve of ‘Gurupurnima’ all over the country. The same programme was celebrated by the Udhampur unit of the federation.

The programme was started by lighting the traditional lamp and showering the flowers on the pictures of Maharishi Ved Vyas, Saraswati and Bharat Mata by the guests. The students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur sang Saraswati Vandhana.
Mahendra Kapoor Rashtriya Sangathan Mantri during his address said, “The main purpose to celebrate Gurubandhan Karyakaram is to uphold and preserve the thousands of years old Indian Guru values, culture and traditions, which was developed in Ancient India as a model society”.
J.R Bhardwaj Chief Education Officer Udhampur said “we are the respectable and responsible persons of society, we should work with full dedication, honesty, sincerity, zeal and enthusiasm”.
Ravi Kumar Distt Vice President sang a beautiful song of the Mahasangh and the same was repeated by the participants with enthusiasm.
Dev Raj Thakur State President welcomed all the guests and participants. Radha Krishan was the Stage Secretary. K.L Gupta Distt President Udhampur thanked all the participants, teachers, students and the Chief Guests.
