STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The government on Monday extended summer vacations in all Government Educational Institutions and recognized private schools falling in summer zone of Jammu Division upto July 21, 2019. “In continuation to Government Order No. 188-EDU of 2019 dated: May 27, 2019, it is hereby ordered that summer vacations in all Government Educational Institutions and recognized private schools falling in summer zone of Jammu Division, are extended upto July 21, 2019,”reads the order issued by Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner Secretary, School Education Department.
“It is further ordered that the schools will restart functioning with effect from Monday, July 22, 2019. However, the teaching and non-teaching staff of Government Schools shall report for duty on July 16, 2019, as already ordered,” the order stated.
“Private Schools, who have pre-scheduled event(s)/Examination(s), if any, during the extended time period are allowed to conduct them as per schedule, subject to condition that no outdoor activities are conducted after 11:00 AM and no student is retained in the schools for any activity beyond 12:30 PM,” it further added.
