Sports Reporter POONCH: A 21 days summer coaching and fitness camp, an initiative of a group of individuals, commenced at Sports Stadium here involving around 100 young boys from different parts of the district. The camp was declared open by the Chief Guest, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Poonch, Rahul Yadav in the presence of Guest of Honour, SSP Ramesh Kumar Angral and Special Guest, DySP DAR, Sheezan Bhat. Among others present were Harcharn Singh (senior cricketer), Nirdosh Kumar (Manager Sports Stadium), Mohd Qasim (Incharge DYSSO Poonch), Vijay Kumar (PEM), Kewal Krishan (PEM) and Sajjad Rather. Speaking to the gathering, amidst interaction with the young campers and the organisers, both special guests, DDC and SSP Poonch applauded the efforts of Pawan Kumar (Fitness Trainer of BCCI, NCA and JKCA), Pervaiz Ahmed Afridi and Gurvinder Singh (both senior players) for the initiative to help guide budding cricketers in cricket and fitness skills. They advised the boys to work hard for excelling in sports and education while staying away from drugs and other anti social activities. Both DDC and SSP assured the organisers of all possible help in making such sports activities a big success.
