STATE TIMES NEWS NOWSHERA: The villagers and panchayat members have strongly condemned the new policy of Education Department for issuing the stitched uniforms to the students of Ist to 8th class in Government Schools. They said that without taking measurements students have been issued uniforms now have to be unstitched, cut to size and then re-stitched else it goes waste. Besides this the cloth used for the uniforms was also not of good quality. They said that there was no complaint in the earlier policy of making available the funds to the School authorities who used to take measurements, purchase good quality cloth and get the uniforms stitched according to the correct size of the students. Sarpanch Panchayat Bhawani A, Sunil Kumar Choudhary, Sarpanch Panchayat Deing Romesh Choudhary and Municipal councilor Nowshera Vijay Bakshi said that the Department of Education should rollback the new policy and continue with the earlier policy so as to ensure the meaningful use of the uniform to the children.
