NOWSHERA: The students of various government schools, colleges and even the private schools belonging to the border areas of Lam, Ladoka, Kampala, Pukherni and other villages continued waiting for bus after breaking from their schools at 2:30 PM. Since there was no bus, they went to Addl DC Nowshera who assured them that the bus will be provided soon.
The students of border area after being dropped by these buses to their villages have to walk on foot to reach their home. The delay in getting bus was a security hazard and irked over the issue they held a protest and blocked the road at Jhangar Chowk. They also raised slogans against the Addl DC.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and after hearing the problem of students, arranged a bus for their conveyance. Later the students lifted Dharna and the road was thrown open.
