State Times News BANIHAL: Hundreds of students on Tuesday protested and blocked Jammu-Srinagar highway against the beating of students in Kashmir Valley. Hundreds of students from Banihal town of Ramban district expressed solidarity with Kashmiri students and staged a protest. The protestors while denouncing the use of force against the Kashmiri students demanded action against men in uniform responsible for the act. Meanwhile the security personnel tried to disperse them but the situation took ugly turn followed by a clash. The students later blocked traffic on the highway near Banihal. The protesting students while condemning the para-military forces demanded action against them. Local police and administrative officials rushed to the spot and pacified the situation.
