POONCH: Indian Army organised an awareness lecture on ‘Cyber Crimes’ at Govt High School, Topathera in Poonch District. A large number of students from Topathera and adjoining villages attended the lecture.
During the lecture, the audience were made aware about various types of cyber/ internet crimes prevalent in the era of information warfare and measures to prevent cyber crimes like hacking, ransomware, espionage, financial theft, phishing activities and other internet related crimes. Precautions while using the social media to include Facebook, WhatsApp etc were also discussed in detail and measures like using genuine softwares, firewalls, Antivirus etc and the importance of not sharing passwords was explained. The students enthusiastically participated in the discussion and clarified their queries.
