JAMMU: Strikers Cricket Club shall meet Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor in the final of First Road Safety T20 Cricket Championship, organised jointly by Road Safety Department and District Police Jammu at Parade Ground, here on Sunday at 12:30 PM.
Earlier, in the second semifinal match played on Saturday, Strikers Cricket Club defeated Road Safety Club by 64 runs.
Batting first, Strikers Club, guided with the brilliant 92 runs inning of Hinan, set a challengeable target of 179 runs in 20 overs. Yasir and Muneeb added 28 and 21 runs respectively to the total.
For Road Safety Club, Showkat claimed three wickets while Nasir took two.
In reply, Road Safety Cricket Club could not chase the target and managed to score 116 runs in 16 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Istaiq, Lada and Rompy were the main scorers with the 34, 21 and 17 runs respectively.
For Strikers Club, Danish picked three wickets, Muneeb and Asif shared two each and Hinan took one.
For his all-round performance, Hinan was adjudged as Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Ashok, Sanju and Vinod.
