STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Sangram Sena J&K Jammu urged the Government to start construction work of lawn and fountain within Dewan Mandir premises at the earliest. In a meeting held here on Sunday, R Raina, President Sangram Sena said, “We were struggling for proper maintenance of open space inside Dewan Mandir. Struggle of Sangram Sena resulted in getting approval by the government for developing open space with construction of a fountain within the temple. The works were being undertaken by JDA. The then Vice Chairman JDA, P G Dar Chakerborthy had assured at that time that income generated from parking will be invested for development of Dewan Mandir. Moreover, two rooms will be provided by JDA, one for Sangram Sena’s office and another for a religious library.” In this regard, Sangram Sena deputation also met JDA Vice Chairman Mubarak Singh, R K Savan and Vikas Sharma who gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured that all efforts will be made for resolving the highlighted issues. The deputation appealed to the authorities for starting development works without any further delay in the interest of people. Others present in the meeting included Capt R S Langeh, General Secretary; Ved Gandotra, President, Freedom Fighter Association; Sudhir Padha, Chairman Divine Touch, Brij Mehra, President Jammu Pragrati Manch; Rajesh Banathia, Karnail Singh, Pawan Kumar, Raju Jamwal, Kapii Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Shiv Kapoor, Dr A K Chopra, Rajesh Sharma, Sukhvinder Singh and Rajeev Mahajan.
