JAMMU: Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) has finalised the arrangements for holding 21 days Summer (residential) Coaching Camp for boys under-14 to 16 years (born on or after January 1, 2002 to January 1, 2005) of age at Jammu from June 28.
To shortlist the deserving and talented boys for the special camp, the association has decided to hold three-day selection trials from June 26 at MA Stadium here from 4:00 PM onwards.
As per a handout issued by the VAJK here on Thursday, players are advised to bring along their original date of birth certificate along with Aadhaar Card and the ID Card of the Association during the selection trials. Players must be in proper uniform and kits in the trials.
The venue for holding this camp will be JK Public School Kunjwani and the campers shall be provided the training by technical panel of coaches in two sessions daily Morning and Evening.
In total, 25 young spikers selected during the trials shall be provided free boarding and lodging facilities by President of the VAJK, Sidharth Daluja.
“The coaching camp would definitely provide an opportunity to the players to display their skills and learn latest techniques of the game. Such camps help in tapping the hidden talent of volleyball players of the State, especially those from remote corners,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the VAJK, Kuldip Magotra said.
