AKHNOOR: Students of St. Francis Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, made the school as well as parent proud by securing positions in recently declared class VII results by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Jammu.
Arti Sharma and Shivang Bakshi got 3rd Position, Bhoomi Bhardwaj and Taksham Bhau bagged fourth position, Manvi Sharma sixth position, Harsh Dev Singh seventh position, Adil Sharma, Ashish Singh Chib and Kartik Sharma eighth position, Anjali Manhas, Awani Dutt and Vikas Sharma secured tenth position.
In the last academic year 2015-16, 132 students appeared for 8th board exam. All the students made their parents and the school proud of their achievements.
Fr. J. Stalin Raj, the Principal along with Sr. Amala and the entire teaching faculty of the school, appreciated all the students. The position holders were congratulated and honoured by Gurinder Pal Singh the SDPO of Akhnoor on the school installation day.
He also congratulated all other students and consoled those brilliant students who expected positions in the board exam but unfortunately could not get the desired results. He however encouraged and wished them good luck to work hard so that they can prove in the coming class 10th board exams. A special word of thanks and appreciation was mentioned by the Principal to the teachers who were the mentors of these students and helped them to be the shining stars. Fr. Stalin also thanked all the parents for their whole hearted cooperation and appreciated them for being the strong support.
