JAMMU: Rohingyas are illegal immigrants and stand to be deported, Shri Ram Sena State chief Rajiv Mahajan on Friday said.
Rajiv Mahajan said that since they are not legal immigrants, “they stand to be deported”.
Rajiv said the recovery of huge amount from the Rohingyas cleared that they are indulging in terrorist activities.
“I have seen alarming Rohingyas’ criminal records. They are involved in theft and other criminal activities. I feel the Rohingyas extended full support to terrorist during Sanjuwan attack in Jammu ,” said Rajiv Mahajan.
“Rohingya refugees are threat to national as well as regional security,” he said.
While the Central Government wants to deport them, he said, the State Government has no policy with regard to the deportation of these immigrants.
Many Rohingyas have been settled in the hilly and forest areas across Tawi River and some Rohingyas are residing in Bathindi, Narwal, Nagrota, Belicharna etc, he said adding that it clearly seems that their agenda is to encroach whole Jammu in small pockets.
Rohingyas were brought here to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu, he said adding that they are receiving support from terrorist organisations and the separatists.
“Rohinghya’s have found safe haven in Jammu and Kashmir and they pose a threat to security of the people in this sensitive border State,” he said and added, “Rohingya settlement is a threat to Jammu’s demography also if serious efforts are not made to identify and deport them.”
“The Central and the State Government should work in unison to detect and deport these illegal immigrants and the religion should not be a handicap in their deportation or otherwise we are sitting on a volcano which will burst at any time,” he said.
