Srinagar: Appreciating the role of sports department, Minister for Youth Services & Sports Molvi Imran Raza said that government is making all efforts to promote sports activities in the State by providing requisite facilities to the youth.
Ansari said that the requisite sports facilities to the youth would provide opportunities to them for honing their talents.
He said that the major sports activities including football and cricket will be started at district levels to boost the talent of youth. “. Organizing tournaments is aimed to boost the talent and encourage the youth. The youngsters should participate in these tournaments so that their talent can be furnished,” he said.
Ansari said that the selected candidates will represent the State and the government will adopt those teams as well. “The process of registering the teams has been started as well,” he added.
He said that the government is also in process of developing infrastructure of sports at all district levels.
Ansari said the government is keen to involve the youth of the State in sports activities to boost their morale.
He said various measures are underway to involve more and more youth in sports.” Government is also considering utilizing services of all professional coaches who will furnish the talent of youth,” he said.
