STATE TIMES NEWS MIRAN SAHIB: Police on Tuesday disengaged three SPOs from service which were booked under NDPS case. As per the details, on July 22, 2019, an FIR No. 93/2019 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act had been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib wherein three SPOs had been arrested and 75 gm of heroin like substance had been recovered from their possession. In relation to the same, one of the accused SPOs, namely, Sunny Kumar SPOJ/311, who was engaged with District Police Jammu, has been disengaged from service with effect from July 20, 2019 (the date from which he was absent from duty). The other two SPOs accused in the case are engaged in Handwara district and their involvement in the said FIR has been conveyed to the concerned district for necessary action against them. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
