STATE TIMES NEWS KATRA: A meeting of special committee for monitoring the TEQIP-III project was held on Monday at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra where the agenda related to the procurement of equipments and software organizing confrences, short term courses, FDPs, industrial visits, placement activities, soft skills training, special lectures by experts from industry, MoUs, startup activities, green environment activities, equity related activities and others were discussed. The meeting was chaired by Prof. K. L. Chopra, Former Director (IIT, Kharagpur) and also graced by Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, and Amit Vermani, Deputy CEO, Shrine Board. Other attendees were: Prof. V K Bhat, Registrar, SMVDU; Romesh Singh Finance Officer, SMVDU and Deans and Heads of various Schools and Sections SMVDU. The focus was on the maximal utilisation of funds provided by the World Bank for developmental activities related to academics and research. Dr. Sumeet Gupta, Dean, Academics, SMVDU, informed the committee that NPTEL/SWAYAM has scored Grade A to SMVDU for its good performance.
