STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU/RAJOURI: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Branch Domana, organised a voluntarly blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Domana. A number of volunteers from Domana and Gurha Brahmana participated in the camp to spread the message of Baba Hardev Singh that ‘blood should flow in veins and not in drains’. The camp was inaugurated by Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Sant Nirankari Mandal Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, he said that saving a human life is a noble venture, and doing so through blood donation is a priceless gift to the person, whose life has been saved. Parshotam Singh, Mukhi branch Domana welcomed all guests and presented formal vote of thanks. Dr Karnail Singh Commandant Medical BSF Paloura was also present on the occasion and donated blood during the camp. Dr Anshu from Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Dinesh Gupta Honorary Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu, Shanker Singh, Gurmukh Singh Sanchalak besides several senior citizens and social workers were also present on the occasion. The camp was held in collaboration with the Blood and Transfusion Department, Government Medical College Jammu; Indian Red Cross Society, JKSACS and District Hospital Domana. Meanwhile, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Branch Rajouri, in collaboration with District Hospital Rajouri, also organised a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Rajouri. DDC Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the camp and lauded Mission’s philosophy of selfless service that saved numerous human lives. MLC Rajouri, Vibodh Gupta appreciated the contribution of the mission in serving the humanity. Almost 110 persons volunteered themselves for blood donation, out of which, 70 donors donated their blood for the cause. Zonal Incharge SNM, Zone 1-A, B P Singh mentioned the philanthropic initiatives of the mission, saying that the organisation has donated more than nine lakh units of blood till date. Convener, Sant Nirankari Mandal Rajouri, Anil Kapoor; Tehsildar Rajouri, Shiraj Chowdhary; Medical Superintendent District Hospital Rajouri; Dr Mehmood Chowdhary; DIG BSF Rajouri, Dinesh Singh; Sunil Gupta, Naveen Mahajan, Manoj Kumar, Khurshid Mir (Janam), Sanjay Sharma and Sushil Bajrangi were also present on the occasion.
