JAMMU: Continuing with the health talk on different common ailments confronting senior citizens, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Kakryal (SMVDNSH) on Thursday organized second health awareness talk on orthopedic problems at Scouts and Guides complex, Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar.
Arrangements have also been made for examination of the senior citizens who have orthopedic problems.
This initiative has been taken by the Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association, Jammu in collaboration with SMVDNSH and State Pensioners Forum.
SMVDNSH Ortho specialist, Dr Vikas Padha delivered the awareness talk and also interacted with the senior citizens on ortho problems besides examined and treated those who are suffering from such diseases.
The SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Kakryal has recently been empanelled for cashless treatment of CGHS beneficiaries which will benefit more than 2000 Central Government pensioners in the State. First such health awareness lectures was delivered on hearing problems in old age and related ENT diseases by Dr Rohan Gupta.
