STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: Police on Friday arrested a forest produce smuggler and recovered seven bags of Nagchatri weighing 249 kg worth Rs. 5 lakh (approx) from his shop during a raid last night . The accused has been identified as Tariq Hussain, son of Ghulam Qadir Butt, resident of Berwar Kishtwar. Reports said that on April 18 , a party of Police Post Kuleed on a tip off that one Tariq Hussain has illegally dumped forest produce viz Nagchatri in his shop at Kishtwar raided the suspected location and recovered seven bags of Nagchatri weighing 249 Kg worth Rs. 5 lakh (approx.) from his shop. The accused has been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 74/2019 under section 379 RPC, 6/16Forest Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar.
