JAMMU: Sixth Natrang Theatre Festival of the year 2018 opened here on Saturday at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu with the presentation of the play ‘Refund’ in Hindi originally a Hungarian play written by Fritz Karinthy and directed by Sumeet Sharma.
In his inaugural address, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that Natrang has already created a record in the country by showcasing 20 major different plays by the same group in a period of five months.
He complimented all actors, directors and technicians of Natrang associated with the holding of Natrang festivals. The opening play ‘Refund’ filled with humour, energy and satire, provided a befitting start to the festival in which different plays of different genre are being featured.
Sumeet Sharma played the pivotal role with professional ease.
He was ably supported by the energetic performance of Rajat Salgotra, Deepali Sharma, Jatin Sharma, Ujhwal Bandral, Sushant Singh Charak, Rahul Gupta, Udit Sagar and Sumit Raina.
The lights were executed by Neeraj Kant and music was rendered by Rakshit Arora. Gauri Thakur presented the show which was coordinated by Mohd Yaseen.
On the second day of Natrang Theatre Festival, play ‘Jangiram Ki Haveli’ will be presented on October 29 at 6:00 PM at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu under the direction of Neeraj Kant.
