JAMMU: Satwari Police on Sunday arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs 5300 as stake money from their possession.
As per the details, a party of Police Station Satwari, during patrolling arrested six people, while playing cards and seized Rs 5300 stake money from them.
The arrested persons were identified as Raju, son of Munshi Ram, resident of Khanpur Tehsil Nagrota at present M.H Satwari; Ramesh Chander, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Bypass Bishnah, Tehsil and District Jammu; Hamid son of Shaki resident of H.NO. 50, Ward No. 01, Narwal Pain, Satwari; Ravi Kumar, son of Kamal Dass, resident of H.No. 177/1, Narwal Pain Satwari; Bitta Singh, son of Makhan Singh, resident of H.No. 1447, Raipur Satwari, Jammu and Amvar Hussain, son of Ahmad Din, resident of H.No. 50, Narwal Pain, Satwari, Jammu. They were booked under Gambling Act at Police Station Satwari.
The arrest and recovery was made by Insp. Manjeet Singh SHO Police Station Satwari and SI Rahul Mahajan Police Station Satwari under the supervision of SDPO City South Dr. Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, and SP City South Vinay Sharma.
