STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Students of Stephens International Public School (SIPS), Miran Sahib made the school management proud by showing an outstanding performance in class 12 result declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), recently. Karuna Chib has topped in Science stream with 94.4 per cent marks followed by Karanjit Kour with 93 per cent marks while Tanu Priya has clinched the top slot in commerce stream scoring 93.4 per cent marks. The other top scorers were Chahat Sharma with 92.8 per cent, Dheeraj Verma with 92.8 per cent and Pariket Bhagat with 92.0 per cent marks. The Chairman of the School, Dr. Kamal Saini (Retd IGP) and the Director Satvinder Saini extended their heartiest compliments to the achievers and to the teaching fraternity for their hard work. Dean Academic, Rama Jamwal spoke high of the team work and concentrated teaching administered by the staff which led to this triumph. She wished success to all the achievers for their future endeavours and urged them to work for higher, faster and larger aims in their life. Director Satvinder Saini exhorted that students at Stephens are encouraged to explore and revel in the joy of learning. Rote learning is discouraged and research based learning is the norm, where each pupil is guided through an individualised work plan in consonance with his/her potential, thereby providing a complete learning experience.
