JAMMU: The J&K State Pensioners Association (JKSPA) urged upon the government for simplifying the procedure of filling applications by pre-2016 pensioners for revision of pension under Formulation-II.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Krishan Singh President JKSPA criticised the State Finance Department for issuing circular that the concerned pension sanctioning Authority/ Head of offices will submit the requisite information /data to the nearest Treasury, who shall forward the same to the concerned sadder Treasuries / District Treasuries and they shall be responsible for depositing such cases of pensioners/family pensioners in the office of Accountant General (A&E) Jammu Srinagar for formal pension revision. Singh said that the remedy appears to be more agonizing and tiresome than the disease itself, as option has to be exercised by the pensioners/family pensioner to avail the benefit of further revision of pension under formulation II of the Govt, order No. 222-F of 2018 not by the pension sanctioning authorities/ the head of office.
He, therefore, proposed that the branches of J&K Bank from where the pensioners/ family pensioners are drawing pension every month may be authorized to receive the application forms for onward submission to the Accountant General (A&E) Jammu / Srinagar for revision of pension under Formulation-II as it is very difficult rather impossible for pensioners / family pensioners most of whom are very old and infirm unable to move about unaided.
