SAMBA: Shivratri was celebrated with religious fervour in Samba District on Tuesday.
In morning, the devotes from Samba and adjoining areas thronged in temples including Aap Shamboo temple, Maheshwar, Shiv Sameshwar Temple Main Bazar Samba with a religious fervour, performed Pooja and offered holy water, flowers, Bel Patri, milk and other things which are dear to Mahadev.
At Ancient Temple Maheshwar, a huge rush of devotees was witnessed from early in the morning. The temple was highly decorated and special prayers were held on the occasion.
UDHAMPUR: Festivity of Maha Shivratri was celebrated in Udhampur and its outskirts locality with great religious fervour and gaiety. On this occasion all temples of Lord Shiva including century old Rameshwar Temple in Devika were fully decorated with luminaries and whole day devotees were seen performing obeisance at many temples.
