JAMMU: Shiv Sena (SS) State President Dimpy Kohli and General Secretary Manish Sahni made a strong appeal to all politicians and others not to mix Tricolour with politics.
On the instructions of Central leadership of the party, State unit of Shiv Sena under the leadership of State President Dimpy Kohli on Thursday organized a strong protest against those who are using symbols of national pride for getting petty political benefit.
Dimpy Kohli said that Tricolour is a matter of pride for us and some are trying to use it for remaining in spotlight. They are playing with the sentimental of people.
Shiv Sena appealed to the Supreme Court to make it clear to all political parties not to quote Tricolour for their political benefits.
Kohli also appealed to make a strong law for those who stop to hoist the Tricolour under section 144 this is totally the misuse of this section.
Kohli said that SS activists are always ready to sacrifice their life in the interest of nation.
Pertinent to mention here that Shiv Sena activists on Wednesday hoisted National Flag at Lal Chowk Srinagar following National Conference President Farooq Abdullah’s remarks on Pakistan- occupied Kashmir last week. Later they were detained by the police and also released after completing legal formalities.
Working President Ashwani Gupta , Senior Vice President Rajeev Bhandari, Spokesman Rakesh Kak, Nathpal Chowdary, Raj Singh, Pawan Singh, Raju Salaria, Sanjeev Sharma, Mangar Kalotra, Mahesh Kumar, Charanjeet, Ashwani Sharma, Raju Sharma and Suman were also present in the protest.
