JAMMU: Former Minister and President Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gulchain Singh Charak on Friday inaugurated Temple of Shri Shani Maharaj, a replica of Shri Shani Shingnapur Mandir, in Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex at Gandhi Nagar, here.
Earlier, Murti Sathapna Samaroh of the same was started with Shri Ganesh Puja at 6:00 AM, followed by Praan Pratishtha with proper religious rituals by eleven learned Pandits including five Pandits (from Shingnapur) namely Sarvshri Mandhar Kulkarni, Rishikesh Kulkarni, Ananth Kulkarni, Rusbha Joshi and Deepak Kulkarni at 11:00 AM.
Thereafter, a Yagya/Hawan was organised and Puran Aahuti was performed at 1:00 PM in which large number of devotees and Yajmaans participated.
After completion of the Sathapna Samaroh, the beautiful Temple of Shri Shani Maharaj was inaugurated by Gulchain Singh Charak in presence of all the management trustees and gathering.
Later, beautifully decorated Mandir was thrown open for the general public.
