KARGIL: State Football Academy (SFA), an offshoot of the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) on Wednesday completed its groundbreaking project of Mission-22 after the launch of Kargil football unit at Khree Sultan Choo Stadium, here.
As per the reports reaching here, Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Tashi Tunduk was the Chief Guest while Deputy Information Officer Kargil, Mohammad Ali Tak was the Guest of Honour.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of senior coaches of JKSSC, Javed Ahmed Sofi and SFA head coach, Muzamil.
Earlier, around 300 football enthusiasts from different areas of Kargil attended the trials and considering different parameters finally 60 probable under three age groups of under-13, under-15 and under-18 were shortlisted for training on regular basis.
Meanwhile, the locals of Kargil District of Ladakh region expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts of JKSSC for availing opportunity to the youth of their district.
The Mission-22 , vision of Secretary Sports, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para, to enhance and flourish football across all the districts of J&K was initiated and organized by JKSSC and SFA besides in support with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
