SRINAGAR: Under the initiative of State Sports Council, the State Football Academy (SFA) conducted trials for budding players at TRC Srinagar on Thursday.
The trials are aimed at nurturing and promoting talent of the local boys and the academy would provide modern football training facilities and opportunities to players to showcase their talent at national level.
Star Footballer Mehrajuddin Wadoo will train the selected young players. The trials are being held under three age groups-under-13, under-15, under-18, and subsequently selected players would be registered with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
The trials started from today at Synthetic Turf TRC for the U-13 age group (born in 2004-2007) and will be held on 19th May at 3:30 PM as well. While for U-15 age group (born in 2002-2003), trails would be held on 20th May at (3:30 PM) and on 21st May at 8:00 AM. Similarly, for U- 18 (born in 1999- 2001) trails would be held on 22nd and 23rd May at 3:30 PM.
