STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Sewerage and Drainage Department on Monday assured that the 3.5 Km long Sewerage network in Fruit and Vegetable Market Narwal will be completed by the mid of July this year. In a meeting held here, the Chief Executive, Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), Priya Parihar informed that aforesaid work shall begin on May 25, 2019 and will be completed within stipulated time. Secretary Tehsin Chib and AEE Arvind Gupta of Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department Narwal besides office bearers of Fruit and Vegetable Association Narwal, Rajesh Gupta, Om Parkash Sawhney (General Secretary), Kamal Grover, Nitin Jain, Romesh Parihar (Vice President) and Raj Kumar were also present in the meeting. Appreciating the efforts being taken by the Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department, the representatives of the association expressed gratitude towards Shahnawaz Bukhari, Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing for fulfilling their 40 years old demand. The works on drainage system in Narwal Mandi has already been undertaken by Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department and would be completed in next 8 to 10 weeks.
