STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN: Army organised a seminar on alternate / renewal energy resources and distributed Solar Lanterns to families of Halemaidan, Lower Gund, Ukharhal, Batu, Kinibitti and Chareel Ramban District. The project has been undertaken under initiative of conservation of energy in line with national aim of clean energy. These solar lights will act as a viable substitute for emergency lighting arrangements in the region which experiences frequent power cuts. The initiative taken by the Army has been very well received and appreciated by the Sarpanch and Panchayat members. Speaking on the occasion, the Sarpanch expressed his gratitude towards Army for providing solar energy.
