STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: GGM Science College Jammu in collaboration with Biotechnology Industrial Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) organised a workshop here on Friday. The workshop was focused on providing early-stage research funding and support options available through BIRAC, which is a public sector enterprise of DBT, working towards bio-entrepreneurship development. Dr Udyan Chandra, Project Executive Officer from IIT Kanpur enlightened the audience with all necessary information regarding different funding programmes available through BIRAC. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members from different colleges of Jammu division, researchers and students. Nodal Principal, Dr S P Sarswat stressed upon the need of such funding schemes to promote bio-entrepreneurship and research. The workshop was organised by Dr Neeti Chibber, Dr Gurpreet Kour and Dr Rahul Sharma. Later, during an interactive session, Dr Udyan Chandra acknowledged all queries regarding funding schemes.
