STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Fulfilling implementation of pro-public policies of Narendra Modi led NDA Government at grass root level, former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma distributed Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) approval letters amongst beneficiaries during a programme held at Kabir Nagar area of Ward No 40. The programme, which was organised by Corporator Neelam Nargotra, was attended by beneficiaries, local residents and political activists of the area. A total number of 20 approval letters were handed over to beneficiaries under PMAY, who had applied for housing loan. Speaking on the occasion, Sat said that it is the priority of Prime Minister to provide basic amenities to every section of society and he has undertaken a mission under which upto 2022, when India will attain 75 years of Independence, there will be ‘Housing for all’. Economic Weaker Section (EWS) in country will also have a Pucca house and Central Government is determined to fulfill the mission with other milestones, said Sat Sharma, adding that today 20 beneficiaries were given the approval letters under PMAY which will further help them in construction of their houses in a planned manner. Under the scheme, four installments will be released in favor of beneficiaries amounting to a total of Rs 1.66 lakh each which will overcome many problems for EWSs, he added. Sat urged other people to come forward and avail benefits of Central Government sponsored schemes so that lifestyle of people could be uplifted. He further informed that thousands in Jammu West have availed benefits under various schemes of Modi Government, which is one of the reasons that have made Jammu West as one of the Best Assembly Constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. Yash Pal Shivgotra, Karan Sharma, Puran Chand, Krishan Lal, Vijay Bajyal, Sushma Kumari, Paramjit Kour, Tarsem Lal, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Sharma, Arun, Tipu, Sachin, Rahul and Sumanyu Gupta were also present on the occasion.
