JAMMU: Sargam Sharma, a class VIII-G student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu emerged winner of the grand finale of All India Level Devotional Song Competition which culminated on September 29, 2017 during Navratra Festival.
A total of 12 contestants from all over India made it to the finals, while Sargam lifted the overall first prize, after successfully qualifying all preliminary rounds.
The final was judged by Ganesh Jain, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Times Music, Pravin Shah, Film Maker, Gordhan Tanwani, Vice President Zee Network and Barkha Arora. Bollywood singer Lakhwinder Wadali was a special invitee on the occasion. In a glittering ceremony, chaired by MoS Finance Ajay Nanda and other VVIPs, Sargam was awarded with gold worth Rs. 3 lakh and one year recording contract with Venus Tapes and Records Company.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra applauded Sargam Sharma for bringing laurals to her school and parents. She felicitated her with the Appreciation Certificate and the Winner’s Trophy, extending her blessings for her future. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also congratulated the winner.
President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro Vice Chairperson, Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi also conveyed their heartiest congratulations to Sargam and her parents on her grand success.
