STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: District Police Samba in co-ordination with civil administration and other agencies conducted a mock drill on law and order problem at Phulpur, Supwal area of District Samba in which about 200 Police personnel as a part of different Police law & order components were deployed as per the deployment plan. The drill was conducted as a part of routine rehearsal and capacity building measure to deal with any law and order situation with minimum use of force. The mock drill was based on a specific plan involving “deployment of law and order component & other riot control equipments to the place of incident”. As per deployment plan, police manpower were deployed at key strategic points so as to prevent law and order situation turning violent or going out of control. The ultimate objective was to secure the lives and property of the people in such situations. The whole exercise was conducted under the personal supervision of Sujit Kumar, Dy. Inspector General of Police, Range Jammu & Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba. Besides, Addl. SP Samba, ADC Samba, Duty Magistrate and all Supervisory Officers of District Samba were also part of the mock drill so conducted.
