STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: District administration Samba, on Wednesday felicitated 28 national level athletes and players, who have participated in various disciplines at national level. Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria distributed cash incentives of Rs 2,100 and merit of excellence certificates among the players. Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Youth Sports and Services Officer Kiran Jyoti besides other officers were also present on the occasion. Giving details about the meritorious girls, the concerned officers informed that 28 girls including Sunita Devi, Sheetal Devi, Kriti Singh, Meera, Kashish Salathia, Shivani Devi, Sherya Charak, Talvinder Kour, Sonia Choudhary, Suhani Sharma, Kashish Sharma, Priyanka Jamwal, Ankita, Tanvi Kundral, Mehak Sharma, Rajni Devi, Neha Devi, Laxmi Devi, Heena Sharma, Sheefali Attri, Sanjana Yadav, Babli Devi, Mehak Rajput, Garima Salathia, Himani Dogra, Tamana Sharma,Ishika Sharma and Rasida Bibi have participated under various disciplines including half marathon, volleyball, roll ball, taekwondo, kho-kho fencing, tennis ball cricket, athletes, kabaddi and rifle shooting. Deputy Commissioner, Samba who is also chairman of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) appreciated the girls for being a forerunner in the district by participating in sports activities. He said that the district administration would provide track suits, shoes, costumes, sports equipments and other support to the players.
