Sports Reporter JAMMU: Sainik Colony FC and DFA Anantnag won their respective matches to advance into the next round of pre-quarterfinals in the ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by the All J&K Christian Welfare Association, at GGM Science College Ground, here on Saturday. In the first match of the day, DFA Anantnag, who were held goalless draw by Sports Saviours FC before losing in the sudden death, blanked NGR 3-0. Arbaaz struck twice in the 13th and 53rd minutes of the match while Umar Farooq added a goal in the 52nd minute. The Sainik Colony FC defeated equally good and composed side of Young Heros by two goals to nil. Aryaveer and Navdeep were the scorers in the 17th and 20th minutes of the match respectively. The matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Koushal Kumar, Moon Stephen, Dheeraj Meenia, Rocky Sharma, Romesh Chander, Ricky Kumar and Mohinder Kalsi (Physio). FIXTURES: Arco Baramulla V/s Sainik Colony at 11:30 AM; Bank Academy V/s Vijay Club at 1:30 PM; Jammu United V/s DFA Anantnag at 3:00 PM tomorrow.
